Our contract manufacturing service can be incorporated with our prototype development, certifications, material management, revision control, and long life cycle product support services as a one stop shop for your long term project.

Our Contract Manufacturing provides services as follow:

  1. Build-to Order
    • Our build to order system has the flexibility to manage small to large orders. There is no minimum order requirement. If you already have a solution with specified Bill of Material, we can build your custom PC according to your delivery schedule. If you do not have a solution, we can provide you a solution with specific Bill of Material according to your project requirements.
  2. Load Application Software
    • Our engineer will work with your engineer to get the master image and load the software in a master hard drive for the mass production purpose. The master image will include the operating software and your application software.
  3. Custom Testing Requirements
    • Micro 1 Technology has a standard testing procedure for our personal computer manufacturing. However, each project is unique and your project may have special testing procedures that need to be implemented in the manufacturing process which will be incorporated to our process. The test results will be available and can be provided at your request.
  4. Custom Labeling
    • Micro 1 Technology can do custom labeling according to your project needs. You can specify the label material, size, color, content, and the positioning on the PC or on the packing box. We can also provide and print barcode labels with specified format for model numbers, item numbers, serial numbers, order numbers, and etc.
  5. Custom Packing Boxes
    • We can work with our vendor to design a custom packing box for your specific need. We will ensure the packaging material is sufficient to protect your system during the transit. Your company logo, model number, graphic design can be incorporated on the box according to your specifications.
  6. Kanban Inventory
    • Per your agreement, we can build finished goods as Kanban inventory and store at our warehouse. You will not be invoiced until the PC systems are shipped to you per your request within a certain period. The kanban inventory will help you to cut down your inventory and the lead time when you need products.

Production Quality Assurance

We are compliant to ISO 9001-2000 to ensure only top quality products are manufactured in our facilities.  Before each new project is implemented in production, our team will conduct the prototype or the first article evaluation.  The evaluation will include testing and detail review by our engineering, purchasing, production, quality assurance, and sales in addition to customer’s approval.

For any new project, the Mass Production Authorization document is required, which requires the product evaluation, master image, master system, assembly instructions, testing instructions, quality control record, and personnel training are all completed before the mass production.

The following strict quality assurance procedures in the production process are implemented to ensure top quality products.

  1. IQC - Incoming Quality Control
    • All components received at production are checked by an inspector and made sure there are no unconformities to the work order. The inspector will follow the check list on a QC Record traveler and validate the inspection pass with an IQC stamp before passing to the assembly line.
  2. Assembly
    • Assemblers will follow the assembly instructions to build the order. The QC Record traveler will also guide them through with a check list to ensure the quality.
  3. PQC - Production Quality Control
    • For all assemblies, production quality control inspector will exam and inspect thoroughly to make sure there are no unconformities with the product build. The inspector will follow the check list on a QC Record traveler and validate the inspection pass with a PQC stamp before passing to the next step.
  4. Functional Testing
    • For every system, a production technician will do full functional tests according to the testing instructions. Our testing practices meet and exceed customer requirements.
  5. Burn-In
    • All computer systems are put through a burn-in testing procedure. The burn-In process will simulate the stress test on the component and the system levels for all functional tests. This process will reinforce the quality in the future operation during the normal product life cycle.
  6. OQC (Outgoing Quality Control) for Functional testing
    • For every system, the outgoing quality control inspector will examine and inspect BIOS set up with system setting, and follow the check list on a QC Record traveler and validate the inspection pass with an OQC stamp before calling OQA inspection.
  7. OQA (Outgoing Quality Assurance) for Functional testing
    • The quality assurance inspector will examine and inspect thoroughly with the outgoing quality control procedures to ensure the quality. The inspector will follow the check list on a QC Record traveler for inspection.
  8. Packing
    • Each system will be labeled with your specifications, and all accessories will be packed accordingly. We will clean the system and pack the system with your custom requirements.
  9. OQA for packing
    • The quality assurance inspector will inspect the physical outlook and the accessories, follow the check list on a QC Record traveler, and validate the inspection pass with an OQA stamp.
  10. OQC for packing
    • For every system, the outgoing quality control inspector will inspect and oversee the packing process. The inspector will follow the check list on a QC Record traveler and validate the inspection pass with an OQC stamp on the back of the system and on the material list of the packing box when the packing is completed.
